How the example is configured
- A rule can use an exact parameter name or * as a wildcard. Leave the value blank to match the parameter regardless of its value.
- The selector
.demo-phone-primarytargets Contact point 1;.demo-phone-sharedtargets Contacts 2 and 3. - Each campaign has two matching rules. A selector can target one phone or any group of phones that should share a number.
- The selected rule ID is remembered in a first-party cookie for 14 days, so the number stays consistent on later pages in this browser.
In your own site, add the selector class to the phone element and create a rule under Settings → UTM Phone Switcher. The plugin runs in the visitor’s browser and does not send campaign data to a third-party service.
